Our Vision

Harvest Fields Community Church has a vision to impact the local community with the love of Jesus and to demonstrate to our relatives, friends, neighbours and work colleagues that Jesus makes a positive difference to our lives. Our intention is to live in such a way that, by our Jesus centred Christian lifestyle, we influence and encourage others to faith in Jesus. To use a Biblical phrase, our vision is to be "salt and light".

As salt enhances flavour and prevents decay so, by our very presence we should bring a sense of well being to those around us and prevent the advancement of moral decay.

Light dispels darkness so as we reflect the life, love and character of Jesus we help to open the way for others to get to know Him and so bring hope.

Our Mission

Our vision will be achieved as we fulfil our mission which is to:
  • encourage and enable people to enter into a passionate relationship with God the Father through Jesus Christ.
  • train and equip Christians to serve God and the community in the power of the Holy Spirit.
  • see our community transformed by the healing and restoring power of Jesus at work in the lives of individuals and families.
  • support Christian individuals and organisations working to spread the love of God and the Good News about Jesus throughout the world.

Our Statement of Faith

We Believe:
  • that being a Christian is primarily a personal relationship with the Living God.
  • in One God in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
  • that reconciliation between mankind and God is through the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.
  • that Salvation comes only by faith in Jesus Christ.
  • in the continuing work of the Holy Spirit as seen in the fruit of the Spirit and in gifts, signs and wonders in the lives of Christians.
  • that the Bible is the inspired word of God.
  • in the return of Jesus Christ in power and glory.
  • in membership of a local church for those who believe in Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord.
